Good Friends, Good Times, and Lasting Memories!

The object of the Muzzle Loaders of the Black Hills (MLBH) is the proper and safe use of black powder firearms. It's purpose is to forward the developement of the characteristics of honesty, fair-play, good fellowship, self-reliance, and self-discipline, which are the essentials of good sportmanship.

The club provides the chance to learn the enjoyment of the sport, as well as the safe use of black powder in both muzzleloading, and black powder cartridge shooting.

The activities of the MLBH can be enjoyed by all members of the family including:

traditional muzzleloading
black powder cartridge shooting
hawk & knife throwing
primitive camping
primitive trekking
related traditional skills
annual Black Hills Rendezvous

 

Meetings are currently held at the South Dakota Game, Fish, & Parks Outdoor Campus West in Rapid City.

January - November = 2nd Wednesday of each month @ 7:00pm

December meeting is held during our annual awards banquet. Dates may vary, please contact a club member for additional information.
